The objective of this proposal is to advance educational knowledge of students and professionals working in transportation infrastructure management and investment by offering a simulationbased graduate course. Freight transportation involves moving diverse commodities to satisfy global supply and demand for goods and services. These commodity outputs, which are connected with many diverse inputs, are often imported or exported via ports of entry (POE), primarily by truck.

Automated vehicles are rapidly maturing; AVs will necessarily have different capabilities than human drivers, yet there is a major gap in understanding their likely drive cycles (the profile of speed versus time). Any changes in patterns of speed with respect to time will have structural consequences for the main outcomes from the transportation sector (e.g. mobility/accessibility, energy consumption, pollutant emissions, crash risk exposure, induced travel, etc.)

This research has two objectives:

Hunts Point Food Distribution Center, also referred to as Hunts Point Terminal Market (HPTM), is the center or hub for food distribution for the New York Metropolitan area. Hunts Point Peninsula, located in the South Bronx, is also home to over 40,000 residents. HPTM is a cooperative owned by stockholders. The cooperative has a long-term lease with the City of New York for its cooperation and tenants.

Drainage Identification Analysis and Mapping System (DIAMS) is a computerized database that captures and stores relevant information associated with all on-ground and under-ground hydraulic structures belonging to NJDOT.  DIAMS retrieves relevant financial information for management so that NJDOT can remain compliant with Phase II of the Government Accounting Standards Board Statment 34, which is NJDOT's sole means of reporting all financial transaction, namely the value of infrastructure drainage assets on an accrual accounting basis.  DIAMS also retrieves all relevant environmen

New York City and the surrounding counties of the metro region has arguably the most extensive and complex transportation system in the United States. This region has almost every type of transport system and mode of travel, with massive passenger and freight movement across and into the region. Further, this region continues to grow and change while retaining a core base of infrastructure and economic activity that is based on historical development patterns and land use.

In the thirty-two years since the NYMTC forum was established, technology has advanced in staggering bounds. Research seems to be no longer limited to breadth and depth - our ability to provided meaningful evidence based answers to the most basic questions about our constantly moving society is greater than it has ever been. New methods of data collection and analysis are transforming our ability to examine our travel decisions and provide researchers with new vectors for analytic investigation.

Structural Analysis of Traffic Signal Poles is a time-consuming and necessary process for engineers at the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT). This process is currently done manually and is inefficient.

It is a benefit to the State of New York if this structural analysis could be performed by a standardized computer program to determine if a proposed load configuration can be supported by existing or new structure(s).

The proliferation of wireless-based sensors, each of which is transmitting electromagnetic energy at a certain Power Density, and new protocols such a Bluetooth, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), and cellular Long-Term Evolution (LTE), and new Wi-Fi standards (802.11n, 802.11a) continue to be added to the radiated Radio Frequency (RF) Spectrum.
