<p>This report documents and summarizes: Task 3- Identify guidelines to eliminate driver inattentiveness, and Task 4- Design alternative strategies and techniques for traffic control, for Phase II ? Research Approach of the study, &#39;Identification of Traffic Control Devices for Mobile and Short Duration Work Operations&#39;, for the New Jersey Department of Transportation. Task 3 was conducted by reviewing the technologies adopted by various DOTs and approved by SHRP for gaining driver?s attention. Task 4 was carried out by looking into the practices of various DOTs and research being undertaken by various institutes for new and innovative techniques for traffic control.</p>
