Dawn Stewart-Riles is a pursing her Masters of Science degree in Transportation Management at Polytechnic Institute of New York University. The program focuses on the operations and management of transportation. Ms. Stewart completed her undergraduate degree in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Public Administration and Labor Studies at City College of New York.
Jacqueline Burton is currently pursuing a Master’s of Urban Planning at NYU Wagner, with a concentration in International Development. She is a recipient of the Advanced Institute for Transportation Education Graduate Scholarship from the Urban Transportation Research Center, and her research focuses on refining the definition of urban food deserts to include the role of transportation in urban residents’ ability to obtain healthy food. Jacqueline is also a Print Editor for The Wagner Review.
Scott Fishberg is a graduate student at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University, concentrating in transportation and real estate. Before attending Rutgers, Scott graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University and was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Society. In addition to his AITE research, Scott is a Graduate Assistant at the Alan M. Voorhees Transportation Center and has previously worked at the Center for Urban Policy Research and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ).
As an AITE scholarship award recipient, Mr. Jonathan Eagelton has been given the opportunity to further his education, while expanding his graduate research work and thesis. Part of his graduate research work is to provide support for the construction and rehabilitation of several bridges for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority. Support is provided in the following ways: testing concrete mixtures used in bridge decks, installing reinforcement corrosion and concrete strain monitoring sensors during bridge reconstruction, and finite element modeling.
Sam Piper is currently pursuing a Masters of Urban and Regional Planning at the State University of New York at Albany. He is specializing in transportation planning, and hopes to use the theories and technical skills he has learned while in graduate school to become a transportation planner in either the public or private sector. The program at UAlbany has been incredibly rewarding for Sam, both academically and professionally. Dr. Catherine Lawson is the chair of MRP program as well as the transportation specialization advisor.
Ms. Ellen Caesar is persuing her Master's in the Transportation Management program at the Polytechnic Institute at NYU . Her professional and scientific goal is to advance her career in her chosen area of specialization and she is eagerly anticipating having a master of science in Transportation Management. She already has the confidence that she will not only succeed in this program but to excel at it.
Mr. Joshua Herman is currently pursuing a Masters of Science degree in Transportation Planning and Engineering at the Polytechnic Institute of NYU. The program stresses the design of transportation systems with an in-depth understanding of the public policies and economic forces that drive them as well as the safety of such systems and their ability to meet the public's needs.
Ratan Huda is persuing his Master’s Program in Bridge Engineering from the Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering at the University at Buffalo/SUNY. This program addresses the need for highly qualified individuals to plan, design, construct, and manage bridge and transportation infrastructure. It is developed with support from the Federal Highway Administration, in collaboration with AASHTO’s Subcommittee on Bridges and the New York State Department of Transportation.
Nathan Wojcik is earning a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning at the State University of New York at Albany (UAlbany). He is enrolled in Planning History, Comprehensive Planning, and Bicycle and Pedestrian Transportation courses and focus his studies on alternative transportation and sustainable design and implementation. He has also started an internship with the Institute for Infrastructure and Asset Management located in Colonie, NY. The following describes his reasoning for his research focus.
