The goal of this research project is to determine if Crumb Rubber-Modified Performance Graded Asphalt Binder (CRM PGAB), produced using the Terminal Blend Method, can be accurately tested and can conform to the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, [AASHTO] M320-05, Standard Specification for Performance Graded Asphalt Binder [PGAB].
Transportation planners are becoming increasingly interested in freight movements. This interest, however, highlights the inadequacy of existing data on freight movements, especially in urban areas. Ogden [1992], for example, in his recent book on urban goods movement, has noted that most urban areas in the U.S., Canada, Britain and Australia have not collected comprehensive data on freight movements since the 1970's.
The goal of this study is to fully explore the fragility of the current means for funding the Highway Trust Fund. It will explore why this fragility exists, gather the various proposals and recommendations to bolster the fund, and where possible provide an assessment of each one as well as the potential impact on New York.
The overall objective of this research was to study work zone accidents in New York State, with particular attention to the occurrence and mitigation of rear-end vehicle accidents. The specific objectives were to:
