Tria Case, Esq., is the University Director of Sustainability for the City University of New York (CUNY). Since 2007, on behalf of NYC, Ms. Case has led the development and the implementation of multiple U.S. DOE funded solar programs, including the NYC Solar Map, leading to a ten-fold increase in solar capacity and the quadrupling of installation companies. The current focus, SMART NY, addresses soft Balance of System costs in NYC and includes plans to expand the program throughout the State.

In addition, Ms. Case assists CUNY’s 24 institutions of higher education to meet the goal of reducing CUNY’s carbon footprint 30% by 2017 through the CUNY Sustainability Project as well as CUNY Conserves; a university wide effort to reduce energy consumption. Formerly, Ms. Case served as the Director of the office of Environmental Business Services for Empire State Development Corporation and received her undergraduate degree from Union College and earned her J.D. from Brooklyn Law Schoo
