Jerry He manages research at CCNY’s University Transportation Research Center (UTRC) and Center for Social and Economic Mobility for People and Communities through Transportation (SEMPACT), the USDOT Region 2 UTC covering the New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands regions.

Jerry is also Executive Director at CARTS (Corporation for Automated Road Transportation Safety), a nonprofit think tank dedicated to connecting communities with mobility innovations. At CARTS, Jerry leads its interdisciplinary team of engineers, urbanists and researchers to initiate, design, facilitate, and scale people-centered deployments of innovative urban and mobility technologies for public good. 

Jerry combines his background in computer science, urban design & architecture (B.A. NYU; M.Arch. Princeton) through his expertise in autonomous vehicles, sustainable urban systems, and community activation. His work has been recognized by the ITSNJ with the "Outstanding Young Professional" and "Outstanding Project" awards. He co-organizes the annual Princeton SmartDrivingCars Summits.
