Yiqiao Li is an assistant professor of Civil Engineering at the City College of New York (CCNY). Prior to joining CCNY, she worked as this an Assistant Project Scientist at the Institute of Transportation Studies at the University of California Irvine (ITS- Irvine). 

Dr. Li earned a Ph.D. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Irvine in 2021. Her research focuses on the development of advanced truck-focused traffic surveillance systems through emerging technologies and the application of statistical and AI/machine learning models to obtain cutting-edge multimodal data and insights for supporting sustainable and resilient transportation systems. She is also interested in transportation data analysis, traffic operations and safety, and intelligent transportation systems. Dr. Li has presented and published her works in several renowned transportation conferences and journals such as Transportation Research Board, IEEE Transaction on Intelligent Transportation Systems, Transportation Research Part C, and IEEE Sensors Journal.
