Dr. Neveen Shlayan

Dr. Shlayan is currently an Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering at the State University of New York, Maritime. Previously, she worked at Philips Research on large-scale lighting control for transportation systems. She was a research fellow at the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology working on mesoscopic traffic simulations. She obtained her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2011 performing research in Cyber Physical Systems under the direction of Professor Pushkin Kachroo. She has also obtained a Masters in Mathematics in 2012 in the area of reconstruction of neutron density distributions.
