Chaekuk Na is a Research Associate at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. He received his B.S. and M.S. in 2003 and 2005, respectively, followed by Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Korea Advance Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in 2009 in Korea. His topic was the finite element analysis for the bond-slip behavior between rebar and concrete. After he finished his Ph.D., he moved to Columbia University in New York as a visiting scholar to collaborate with Dr. Myer for the material characteristics of the nature fiber reinforce concrete funded by U-Eco City Research Center in Korea. He is currently working with Dr. Nassif in RIME group in the research area of Structural Health Monitoring and Field Testing of bridges and Advanced Concrete Materials. He also participates in the RECAST University Transportation Center led by Missouri University in the area of self-consolidating concrete material for bridge structures.
