N. Sertac Artan is an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) School of Engineering and Computer Sciences. He earned his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from New York University (formerly Polytechnic University). Before joining NYIT, Artan was on the faculty of the New York University School of Engineering. He also worked as an ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) design engineer and designed integrated circuits for commercial, academic, and military applications.

Artan served in the organizing committees of the ACM/IEEE Symposium on Architectures for Networking and Communications Systems (ANCS), IEEE Sarnoff Symposium, and ACM Conference on Security and Privacy in Wireless and Mobile Networks.

His current research interests include low-power embedded systems and VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration) circuits for implantable medical devices, and efficient algorithms for biomedical signal processing for applications such as epileptic seizure detection.
