The Transportation Research Institute (TRI), formerly the Transportation Training and Research Center (TTRC), was created in 1975 to develop, expand, and transfer the knowledge base in transportation through research, studies, and education; and to improve the mobility and safety of persons, freight, and services in metropolitan areas. TRI has a long and distinguished history of innovative research and educational programs.
