In 2015, Dr. Evangelia Ieronymaki started teaching at Manhattan College in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.

While pursuing her doctorate at MIT, she was a teaching assistant in Structural and Geotechnical Engineering Design, Theoretical Soil Mechanics, and Advanced Soil Mechanics. Dr. Ieronymaki was also a research assistant for Crossrail, the new high capacity railway in London, and interned for Attiko Metro S.A. and Geometriki Techniki in Athens.

Throughout her studies at National Technical University of Athens, she completed a research thesis on “Bearing capacity and settlements of strip foundation on liquefiable soil.” In addition, she conducted research at MIT on soil-tunnel-structure interaction, and focused on prediction and interpretation of ground movements due to tunneling in stiff clay and impacts on adjacent structures.
