Ratan Huda is persuing his Master’s Program in Bridge Engineering from the Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering at the University at Buffalo/SUNY. This program addresses the need for highly qualified individuals to plan, design, construct, and manage bridge and transportation infrastructure. It is developed with support from the Federal Highway Administration, in collaboration with AASHTO’s Subcommittee on Bridges and the New York State Department of Transportation. This program require 18 to21 Credit Hours of courses that include Introduction to Bridge Engineering, Structural Dynamics, Finite Element Analysis, Earthquake Engineering, Engineering Management, Foundation Design, Steel Design and Concrete Design; 6 Credit Hours of Current Practice of Lecture Series and 3 to 6 Credit Hours of Engineering Project.

Mr. Huda works as a Bridge Designer for NYSDOT. This Master’s Program will provide him the knowledge required to take more responsibility and enhance his ability to design and review bridge projects of more complexity.
